Uber’s CEO to join Aurora’s board
According to the statement, Uber will invest $ 400 million in Aurora for about Rs 2900 crore under the deal. Uber CEO Dara Khosroshahi will join Aurora’s board of directors. Aurora will become a $ 10 billion company after the completion of the deal. Uber will hold a 26% stake in it.
Aurora will make the first product for trucking
In a recent interview, Aurora CEO Krrish Urmson said that the company’s first product will be made for trucking and freight. But we are going to take on Uber’s great team. He said that through this team, we will continue to work on light vehicles and ride helings. He said that our vehicles will also be included in the Uber network. He said that Uber would not have exclusive rights to Aurora’s technology. However, there will be a preferred relationship between the two companies.

टैक्सी सेवाएं देने वाली कंपनी उबर ने अपना सेल्फ ड्राइविंग कार कारोबार स्टार्टअप ऑरोरा (Aurora) को बेच दिया है। कोविड-19 के कारण रेवेन्यू में आई गिरावट के चलते उबर ने यह फैसला लिया है। उबर ने एक बयान जारी कर कहा है कि यह सौदा स्टॉक ट्रांजेक्शन के जरिए हुआ है। इस सौदे के तहत ऑरोरा सेल्फ ड्राइविंग व्हीकल तकनीक और इसके कर्मचारियों का अधिग्रहण करेगी।
ऑरोरा के बोर्ड में शामिल होंगे उबर के CEO
बयान के मुताबिक, इस सौदे के तहत उबर ऑरोरा में 400 मिलियन डॉलर करीब 2900 करोड़ रुपए का निवेश करेगी। उबर के CEO दारा खोस्रोशाही ऑरोरा के बोर्ड ऑफ डायरेक्टर्स में शामिल होंगे। इस सौदे के पूरा होने के बाद ऑरोरा 10 बिलियन डॉलर की कंपनी बन जाएगी। इसमें उबर की 26% की हिस्सेदारी होगी।
ट्रकिंग के लिए पहला उत्पाद बनाएगी ऑरोरा
हाल ही में एक इंटरव्यू में ऑरोरा के CEO क्रिश उर्मसन ने कहा कि कंपनी का पहला उत्पाद ट्रकिंग और फ्रेट के लिए बनाया जाएगा। लेकिन हम उबर की महान टीम को लेने जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इस टीम के जरिए हम लाइट व्हीकल और राइड हेलिंग पर काम करते रहेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे व्हीकल उबर नेटवर्क में भी शामिल किए जाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि उबर के पास ऑरोरा की तकनीक के एक्सक्लूसिव राइट्स नहीं होंगे। हालांकि, दोनों कंपनियों के बीच प्रिफर्ड रिलेशनशिप रहेगी।
