The country’s leading car maker Mahindra & Mahindra announced the cancellation of its partnership with Ford in early January. Under this partnership, the two companies would manufacture new SUV and MPV vehicles for India and overseas market. However, Mahindra has made it clear that the end of the partnership will not affect the company’s plans. According to the latest report, Mahindra is preparing to launch 7 new SUVs in India in the next 1-2 years. Here we are going to tell you about some of these trains.

New Mahindra XUV500
The company may bring the new Mahindra XUV500 in March-April 2021. The new model can be given a longer wheelbase, which will help increase cabin space. The new Mahindra XUV500 will get many segment leading comfort features. In addition, it will feature the segment’s first ADAS (Advance Driver Assistant System) feature. The car will compete with Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
The new model can come in 6-seater and 7-seater options. It will come in two engine options – 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol and 2.2 liter turbocharged diesel engine. The first engine generates 190 Bhp and the second engine generates 180 Bhp. It can get a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic torque converter.
New Mahindra Scorpio
New Generation Mahindra Scorpio has been waiting for a long time. It can be launched in mid-2021. It will be bigger and bolder than the older model. It will have many segment leading features. The Thar Wala engine will be given with a slight change in the new Scorpio. The diesel model of the car will get a 2.2 liter engine, which will give power of 160 Bhp. At the same time, a 2.0 liter petrol engine can be given, which will give power of 152 bhp.
5-door Thar
Mahindra can bring a long wheelbase version of its new Thar. It will be a 5-door model, with more cabin space available. It will compete with Force Gurkha and the upcoming Suzuki Jimny. The current engine will be given in the car.
XUV300 Sportz
Mahindra will launch a more powerful version of its XUV300. It can be named the XUV300 Sportz. The new model can be given a 1.2 liter mStallion Turbo Petrol TGDI engine, which will generate 130 Bhp of power and 230 Nm of torque. It will get a completely black interior theme, red stitching on the seats, red headlights on the dashboard and new body graphics.
